In order to ensure that everyone is
able to get the most out of their class experience, please abide
by the following studio policies.
Registration
We encourage you
to register early because class sizes are limited and many will fill
quickly. Registering at least 2 weeks before classes begin will
also ensure that we will have your child's At Home materials available
at the first class.
Your child's place in class will be reserved upon receipt of both the registration form and payment.
Attendance
Regular attendance will be key in helping you and your child to get the
most out of your class experience! Please make every effort
to attend each class. As children come to class, they become more
familiar with the music, activities, and routines and are able to enjoy
themselves and learn more each week. With consistent attendance
they will also more quickly build their musical and theatrical skills.
Illness
However, if you or your child are ill, please do not come to
class. I will be happy to send you an email detailing some of
this week's class activities so that you can enjoy them at home.
Then, when you are feeling better you can schedule a make-up
class (Kindermusik classes only). Please be considerate of everyone's health as you decide
whether or not to come.
Make-Up Classes
We are happy to allow students who miss a Kindermusik class to make up that class
up to 3 times per semester by attending an additional regularly scheduled class. Simply give us a
call or email to schedule make-ups. Also, if you know ahead of
time that you will miss a class, please let us know. This allows us to
schedule a make-up for someone else in your place.
If the Kindermusik teacher has to be absent due to illness or
emergency, a make-up class will be scheduled at the end of the semester.
**There are NO make-up classes available for The Theatre Experience. Missed classes cannot be refunded.
Making the Most of Each Kindermusik Class
Plan to arrive between 5-10 minutes early to give your child and yourself time to settle in to the musical environment.
During class, the most important thing you can do for your child is to
be an active participant and patient role model. Consistency both in
class and at home are key to facilitating musical learning and growth.
Do not worry if your child does not seem to be
participating in class. Many children are more comfortable
observing for several weeks. Even those who are wanderers are
absorbing all of the music and learning a great deal. Often
parents will notice that children who do not seem to participate in
class will do all of the class activities at home where they are most
comfortable. Most children just need a little time to feel
comfortable in a new setting, time to get used to the routines and the
people.
Use your At Home materials. The more you and
your child play with the At Home materials and listen to the CDs, the
more you will get out of the classroom time! Young children love
activities and songs that they are familiar with.
Be sure to dress comfortably for sitting on the floor and moving around.
Please keep all toys, juice cups, pacifiers, etc out of sight to avoid distracting others from class activiites.
Please limit your visiting with other parents to before and after class, so that you can
focus on your child during class. Share this special bonding time
with your child by giving him or her your full attention.
Above all else...have fun! Dance!...Sing!...Explore!
Become a kid again and enjoy this time with your child.
Non-Enrolled Siblings
Due to the limited class size and the delicate nature of the younger
class settings, Village and Our Time classes can only accomodate
non-enrolled siblings young enough to stay contented in a car seat or
stroller during class. Special situations will be considered, so
please call if we can help. If the siblings fall into the age
range of the class, they should be enrolled.

free visit in one of our classes for friends. Please call us at
